This worked on my 1998 Chevy Tahoe LS. After driving on the 4th of July we drove through deep forest, country roads and deep water/mud holes. We had an issue with our truck (it's old) that doesn't out of Park, R, N, D, 1, 2, 3 or the back. Luckily for us the little kids showed up and showed my husband how to manually put it into drive mode and we took the beast home straight away. I hope this information helps as you may be trying to figure out if you are replacing a part correctly. After struggling with the problem for a few hours, we determined that it was the transfer switch wire, and when my husband took the old one off, it had snapped in the middle where the weather could get to it the most (ugh, Michigan Snow ) and replaced with this old one. Oh how I love researching and buying auto parts online from Revain. This saved us $300 in labor since my husband did the work himself. A proverb for the wise, buy auto parts on Amazon, it saved us $22 on just one part. Revain didn't pay me to share this with you, I'm just really glad I don't spend money on auto parts. This truck is beautiful and I drive it every day which means we have to replace parts from time to time. (Working time 4/6 hours) We need to remove driver's seat and carpet. Not difficult.
