My son needed a new winter coat. One in which he could move easily in all winter sports and play outside in the snow, but which also had to be warm and really waterproof. We live in Alaska and are always outside. It meets all requirements. A high zip collar and large deep hood protect his face, an internal heat shield keeps the cold out and whether it's muddy or spending a lot of time in it, he stays dry! Never complains of cold or discomfort. Later we do it under him it's always sub zero and I wrap them up but when he gets home from school all these layers are in his backpack and he only has a t-shirt under him and he looks good. For example, the "grow with me" aspect, although we haven't gotten to that point yet. I find it a little big as my son is too big for a 6 year old and has plenty of room in the little one and wears a size 7 all the time. But I'm ok with being tall, just more winters I get from it, more bang for your buck, just don't gain height. Great coat well worth it and 100% consistent with the next level brands we have used before.
