I am 5'9" and 157 lbs. The medium fits perfectly. I bought these so I don't have to wear a swimsuit on vacation. I'm going to wear them with a rash guard. The waistband is about 1 1/2 to 2 in. wide and fits perfectly with great coverage. The pants go down to my ankles. I bought the pants with the geometric pattern. Thank you for having these available for people like myself, with very fair skin and I've gotten out of shape. I got tired of putting on self tanner all the time. I don't know how these will do with sun protection yet, since I haven't used them. But, I'm already excited to wear them because they fit so well and my husband likes the way they look too!
