Review on Deionization Reverse Filtration System by Express Water by Chris Crisler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If you have your own well, you will need a booster pump.

This device is very easy to connect (very good instructions) but there are MANY connections to be made. It looks very complicated (see photo). Since my well pressure is typically 40-60psi, it was too low to completely fill the tank and the flow from the faucet was very low and it took a long time to fill a gallon jug. Adding a $115 booster pump solved the problem. I use this to pour water into my filter/wick humidifier. This device has a deionizing filter, so the water that comes out is like distilled water. Purchasing or making distilled water for my humidifier costs about $30 a month. Without distilled water, I replaced the $17 filters every 2 or 3 weeks. Now I can use one filter for all winter. In both hard water (well water) and softened water (water softeners), the filters would clog (due to calcium in hard water and salt ions in soft water) and stop allowing water to pass after a few weeks. With the booster pump I can fill a 2 gallon humidifier tank in minutes.
