They haven't been for a long time, but I'll say the volume is decent, the range is decent. I like that they work independently so I can wear them individually. I'm not sure about the battery life yet. The sound is ok. It's not the clearest, but it's normal for entry-level headphones. You get what you pay for. They're also lightweight, which means they feel a bit cheap, but at least they're not heavy on my ear.
