These are plain headphones. There's no microphone, so you can play on the plane using headphone jacks. Those with microphones required me to hold down the button to listen to music/TV on the plane. Then the landing will be pleasant and cozy for both adults and children. I use them for my kids (4 and 6 years old) and they don't complain about slipping or size loss. It's also nice that the cable doesn't have buttons like mute or volume up, so kids don't turn the volume up too much for themselves or panic because they can't hear anything, but that was because they pressed the volume down. The sound quality is excellent and dampens outside noise a bit.
