They are well built they hold up well but we bought them 30 months ago and they are completely rusted the roller balls don't move and the hooks themselves are corroded with a bluish tinge Tint. the corrosion can be seen in copper. They have no direct water contact as we have an 84 inch curtain for our shower stall, we have a forced vent to the outside of our home which is wide open - no obstruction. I know they have metallurgy control problems in China. Therefore, it is possible that this manufacturer received poor quality materials from its suppliers. We don't live on the coast and in fact the area around San Antonio, Texas has a very dry climate. I have been a boatswain all my life and have experienced a wide range of stainless steel. Application and materials - and these non-stainless steel curtain hooks - are even close. Again - don't blame the retailer, but they should seek corrective action from their supplier(s).
