My wife had several old fashioned lime and lemon squeezers. I watch it squirt and expend a lot of energy, extracting less than half the juice. After doing a lot of research, I decided on this device. My wife, who has arthritis and has a hard time squeezing anything, found this with little effort. I couldn't be happier. It only lasted a week. Read some negative reviews. Will be updated if something goes wrong or breaks. At the moment it looks very solid and is made of metal. Easy to wash and store. I highly recommend this product.
