Review on Channellock 927T Universal Tip 5 Tips by Deejay Allard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

There's nothing like the right tool

The job I was working on involved a 2 1/4" external snap ring, and the 8" snap ring pliers I had (not Channellock) , just didn't work. to the task. Their tips were too small to hold the ring and the pliers themselves were too weak to handle the large locking ring. After several failed attempts, I finally decided on a better circlip pliers. I was initially put off by the price of these 10" channellocks, but once I got my hands on them and put them to use I thought they were worth it. They snap out easily with the included Allen key and snap securely into the pliers. The hex shape of the tips matches the hex shape of the pliers for easy alignment have a ratcheting action so will hold the hole you put until you release tension with the thumb button on the pliers handle The ratcheting action makes it really easy when removing or installing the snap ring to get and maintain an accurate opening pressure. Removing the 2 1/4" locking ring with these pliers was ridiculously easy. Only time will tell if they can handle this kind of strain. Same as my 20 year old channel lock pliers but so far I'm very happy with them.

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • So far so good
