Cons: We originally used it on hardwood floors but it was shaky, especially when the cat was on one of the raised beds. We put it in a carpeted room and it still wobbles a bit, but the cats don't seem to mind. One oddity about this scratching post is that it smelled like catnip, although it clearly didn't contain catnip. It took about a week for the smell to go away. Pros: Our two cats love the scratching post ramp, although one of them had his claws removed by its previous owner. Our brave cat prefers to sleep in a basket and on raised beds. while our shy cat loves to sleep in apartments. - Extra fluffy ball toys are included in case the cats inevitably eat the rope. - Raised beds are super plush beds, they're the perfect height to kiss on the forehead. Overall I'd say our cats really enjoy this scratching post and get a lot of great stimulation from it, but I'm deducting a star because it's wobbly.
