I don't even know what they are for because they are not for water. They have such a weird and flat shape and don't fit the foot properly, almost like wearing flippers. The fabric frayed and blurred after about an hour. Complete garbage. We ended up having to buy expensive water shoes there. It doesn't matter if they're cheap, they're not worth the inconvenience.
