I ordered a pair for my son and daughter and after two months of almost daily wear they were blown. My daughter came to me and said that her shoe made a hole in her sock. I examined the boot and found that it does not have a footpad (or insole) to cushion the foot. There was only a layer of thick fabric between the vertical ribs of the molded rubber sole and her foot. After two months of wear, her heel was chafing through the fabric and rubbing directly into the rubber texture of the sole, quickly chafing holes in the heels of her socks. I checked my son's shoes and the same thing happened. I didn't have particularly high expectations for these boots but the lack of a solid cushion in the boot is a shame. My daughter told me that she had to walk on her toes because her heel was so sore.
