Good heavy quality. It's always a balance between driving them in (they go in pretty easily) and pulling them out. (They're long enough to be fairly stable.) A fairly small retaining tab fits the smaller canopy legs and tarp rings, and has rope pull tabs for tent ropes. I use them on my cargo bag canopy and have never blown them off even in fairly strong winds.
