The first board I received was bad. It has been suffering from "WHEA Fatal Error" BSOD and random reboots since day one. After 100+ hours of troubleshooting, the BSOD crash turned into an endless BSOD loop. I booted from my Windows 10 installation USB and my C: drive, which was in the M.2_3 connector on the back of the motherboard, was recognized. I formatted another NVMe that I installed in a DIMM.2 expansion card, installed Windows on that drive and have never had a BSOD since. The NVMe I installed in the rear M.2_3 slot sometimes showed up in Disk Management, but kept disappearing. After realizing that it was most likely something to do with the M.2_3 port on the back, I ordered a replacement. After installing a new mainboard and updating the bios, everything works as usual. Except now the NVMe drive I have in the rear M.2_3 port doesn't disappear anymore. Overall the board is very solid now that I have a fully functional device. The BSOD error I was getting could be for a variety of reasons, so trying to figure out what was causing all the crashes was a nightmare. I had issues with fan control when I first assembled the PC, but shortly after ASUS released a BIOS update the issues went away so there is no issue now. This board received 2 stars in the first few weeks of use. I've only read about boards that are bad right out of the box. Now I can confirm that this is happening. Luckily I have what appears to be a 5 star motherboard.
