Review on Continental ContiSportContact 5 215/50 R17 95W summer by Adam Kowalski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good, the price is reasonable.

Volvo V40 2.0T, 225/50R17. Departed 5 seasons (2 sets). - There are no questions about the grip, it holds well in corners, but it’s too soft, there is more roll than on other tires that I had (mostly different Michelins). Just yesterday I changed my shoes for the winter (Pirelli Sottozero), the winter is much tougher - The sidewall is strong, there were no hernias or lateral cuts, although it used to rub against rather sharp curbs. I didn’t leave the asphalt, I can’t say anything - Goes to ABS before Michelin, but later than Bridge (subjectively) - Drags in a rut - Doesn't float at all - Lives somewhere around 30-40 thousand, depending on the operation. I have walked a lot on the highway at high speeds I will not take another set, I will choose something tougher

Pros
  • Not subject to hydroplaning, holds well
Cons
  • Disgustingly behaves in a rut, constantly dragging to the sides.
