Okay, I was a bit skeptical about the price of one of these bad guys. But now I fully understand the difference with lava ceramics. Using a comb with a diffuser, I was able to dry my hair in less than 5 minutes. Mind you, my hair is fine, but it still comes down to my shoulders, so there's quite a bit of that. Even on high heat (which I usually use out of the three settings) my hair doesn't frizz or become brittle after blow drying. It stayed smooth and felt quite silky after using a thinner diffuser comb. I also really liked that all the nozzles were magnetic. I found it a lot easier to adjust them to the best angle when using it. And they hold up well. None of them fell off even when I twisted and turned them upside down. Generally very quiet. Not what I'm used to from my old one that I use forever. Also, it's MUCH more compact than I'm used to and it's a good rest for my wrists too.
