I am pretty straight with slightly larger hips but I’m well proportioned and 5’10. I wear a size 22. The 5x fits me well but doesn’t meet my bra line. It could not be worn without the straps. I would say it’s overpriced for the quality but it makes me have zero belly bulge so I’m keeping it. I don’t find it uncomfortable at all. The bathroom zipper is quite long so no issue there. I would say buy larger than you expect to need and you’ll be fine. Easier to get on than a lot or shapewear
