Review on πŸ”§ BTSHUB 52-Piece Custom Bushing Driver Set for Efficient Transmission Wheel Axle Bearing Race and Seal Installation & Removal Tool Kit by Dewitt Bhattacharya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best value for money for this type of built-in socket device

The kit works like this: You select two washers, one that goes into the hub and the second that is the right size to precisely reach the rim of the hub you are installing. You place these two discs on one of the two mounting posts and then screw in a hex head screw (hex key included) to secure the discs to the bracket. You then drive the jack home by either hitting the end of the post or sliding the flat-ended tube over the post and hitting the end of the tube. There is no locking between drives, so there are literally thousands of possible configurations between internal and external drives to choose from. One of the set shafts has an o-ring and a pair of additional o-rings not shown in the picture are included. Pictures. The first time I used an o-ring shaft, the inside edge of one of the washers cut the o-ring and it split upon removal, although sprayed with some WD-40 first. I don't really see the point of o-rings so I'll stop using them and if I find out why they're useful then maybe I'll give it another try instead of sharing. Everyone. Today I used this kit to install two axle seals on a Jeep WJ. Did the job very quickly. I would have used it to install bushings on a gearbox I rebuilt a few months ago if I had one at the time. The quality of the materials seems to be good and their finishes are very good with no sharp corners and all the components fit together perfectly. The case is nice and protects all the components so you can carry it around without knocking over or confusing any parts. It's a bit heavy but to me that means it will be durable. I am delighted with this kit after first use and regret not having bought it years ago for all manner of bushing and seal installation tasks. It's not a tool I'll be using every day, but for driving in gaskets and bushings it's now on my shelf ready to use the next time I need to install a gasket (which is tomorrow).

Pros
  • Robust surface
Cons
  • The list is long.
