I've had it for four months now and am still using my first set of four batteries. So glad I bought this. I'm not sure why it took so long. So much convenience when cooking. Is working. Very good. I wish it had a bigger pepper capacity. I have two other Kyocera hand grinders that I use for salt. Update: Ten months with original batteries. We use it almost every day, often several times a day. Update: 13 months old and original batteries still work. When I seasoned a large beef rib roast before Christmas I was amazed that it got the job done and ran for about a minute and only 3-4 minutes continuously. I refilled it today for the second or third time this month. Update: OK! I changed the batteries on Feb 2nd 19! An absolutely incredible run of 15 months. They were Duracell. I replaced them with Revain batteries.
