We had TV speakers and an old 2014 Roku prior to purchase. I'm no wizard at electronics installation, but it was easy enough. HDMI to HDMI and then a weird thin cable to a weird thin cable connector. (I think people are messing around with flimsy cables?) Here's what I LOVE about the Roku Streambar: + The ability to listen via Bluetooth 2+ headphones so adults can watch a movie while baby sleeps (using the Roku phone app) + I've found that a thin cable allows my Nintendo Switch to play audio through the Streambar! + Compared to the 2014 version, the UI was much better and more responsive + Use as a regular Bluetooth speaker + Remote control doesn't work, doesn't need to point directly at Roku to work + Turning off Roku will also turn off your TV. Here's what could be improved: - Getting the sound settings right wasn't easy, we had to keep switching between film and settings. Menu - The "Audio In" option would be nice - The remote hot buttons could be greatly improved if they could be programmed to our favorite service - who really uses Sling?
