Review on Knipex Tools 13 82 8: 6-in-1 Electrical Installation Pliers - Comfort Grip, Red & Blue | Efficient Multi-functional Tool by Joe Duncan

Like all Knipex tools I own, this is another fine example of quality craftsmanship. That being said I was hoping it would replace my 28 year old Ideal pliers in my tool bag. When I got the tool, I pulled out a couple of crimping tools for a test run before blindly pulling my old crimping tools out of my tool bag. In my opinion the part of the crimp that bites and depresses the crimp is too wide. This width combined with the short handles did not produce the same crimp quality as my 28 year old crimping machine. I ended up leaving my trusty old pair of pliers in my pocket. I think if Knipex shortened the length of the crimping blade and lengthened the handles by 1-1/2", it would probably crimp a lot better. A lot is asked of a tool that can do so many things and outperform all others you guys what this tool basically does. This tool will crimp the wires but not to a level that I'm comfortable with. Your results or expectations when crimping wires may differ from mine. Seriously, the crimp function is the only reason i digress, i still have the tool in my bag and am impressed with the many features it has to offer and the excellent quality of the Knipex.
