Review on Beasteel Portable Traction Emergency Recovery by Roger Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seems great for car tires and wheels

so got two of these today. I've spent some time researching this type of steel belted flexible rubber mats. I chose these because I liked the wider plates so they don't sink as easily into sand or mud when riding off-road where I need them most. Haven't used them yet but upon inspection the rubber sheets appear to be thick, strong and durable. It's heavy and impressive. Steel cables don't give the immediate impression of "extra strength" like rubber, but they seem strong enough for the purpose. I like the heavy tread pattern on one side and the smaller bumps on the other. Shown here as lowering small bumps, but holding it I definitely see situations where it could offer better traction in reverse. In the snow, for example, I saw how broad caterpillars dig into the snow. More options are always good. I will update this review as I use it and test its practical use in the real world.
