Due to availability during Halloween week I had to buy a size up. But size 7-8 fit my 5 year old perfectly. Roll up your sleeves and you're good to go. This is an adorable costume if you have a Super Mario lover. It's thin but that's ok, just wear it over your clothes. The mustache is a one-time sticker. The shape of the hat is very cute. Judging by the packaging, it wasn't an odd shape. This is a costume that continues to be worn after Halloween as he pretends to be Luigi and runs around our backyard.
