First of all it's made like a tank and worth the money. It's a heavy, flexible material, like a wobbly frisbee. If you put it on a hot pot of food and let it cool, it will hang inward and create suction. It's very nicely made. However, I don't use it as often as I thought I would. I have a family of two, so I don't often keep a whole pot of food in the fridge. I put half in the freezer and split the other half between our same size plates and boxes (for lunch). But if you have a large family that goes in and out of the pot frequently, or you take it out for lunch or whatever, this lid is great.
