The new fan motor comes with a frame that appears to fit newer Air King fans. But the motor itself and the plastic blade can be used in the older Air King bathroom fans with aluminum grilles. See photos of the differences between the old and new fan motor. The new motor comes with plastic fan blades but still fits into the fan housing. To get the new motor out I had to make a small cut in the new case as I couldn't remove the fan blade. It seems depressed. And then I had to flip the motor mounts to the other side to install on my old fan housing. Doing all of this is not too difficult. Replacing the fan only takes about 15 minutes and works great.
