They are strong and well made. They are great for cookie dough or ice cream. I wouldn't recommend using them for anything hard, they are a bit harder compared to a traditional ice cream scoop. The seller communicates great and is very willing to solve any problem you may have with the item. If you use it for hard ice, let it sit for a while or heat up the scoop a little. I like 3 sizes, the small makes the shovel about a quarter in diameter, the large is 1.5 to 2 inches and the medium is 0.5 to 1 inch. I've used them to scoop frozen yogurt, butter, sour cream, cookie dough, and ice cream.
