Light is bright, but is impractical. I bought it to use at night when walking my dog. I don't need to have it shining constantly, as there are street lamps along the route, just need to illuminate dark patches periodically to make sure the dog doesn't try to eat or poke his nose into something he shouldn't. When I click it on and off the lighting mode changes, so I'm constantly cycling through each mode every time I need to use it. It only takes a split second for a dog to eat something that could kill it. This design flaw can be potentially dangerous if you need a steady beam of light at a critical moment.
