The zippers on this cat bed (or cat cave) work without jamming. The 'cave' comes folded but one zipper runs down one end and the other runs the entire bottom and the other end. The cave can be used with one end folded back so the entire opening is available for your cat. It can also be used with a zippered end, with cat access through a smaller opening. Some cats like small, tight spaces, while others seem to prefer the security of a smaller, more enclosed entryway. The bottom pillow has a soft, fluffy side and the other side is made of the same or similar fabric as the shell. If your cat, like most, loves warmth in all weathers, the furry side is best. If your cat is comfortable in the cool, chances are the fabric side will like it better. The quality of the fabric, zippers and all measurements is very high.
