As others have said. The specified dimensions of the boards that this cover fits on are incorrect. I chose to ignore the "won't fit" warnings, believing that people with fit issues either didn't have enough upper body strength to get the canopy in place or misjudged their board length. Before ordering I measured my board (both length and width) and also compared the overall board shape shown in the Revain listing to my board shape. My board is the exact same shape and taper as the board shown in the listing. FYI: I personally installed my concealed ironing board about 20 years ago. It was bought at a hardware store but I'm afraid I don't know the exact manufacturer. Details: The packaging clearly states that this cover fits boards up to 42 3/8" long and 12" wide. My ironing board was 42 inches long and 11 1/2 inches wide, and yet this lid was way too short! My wife and I even tried "soaking" the cover in water hoping we could get it in place by wetting it. There is no such happiness. Yes. Some people have given this cover great reviews. I can only assume that their boards were 41 inches long or less, or "the assembly line production process is not up to standard, resulting in cases being produced with some being longer than others. Very good durable materials and it should last for many years. However, since it didn't fit our 42" board, I can only give 2 stars. If the case fits our board, I'll happily give 5 stars. , rather than the hassle of returning a cheap item (and a different case to I bought it with no guarantees that it would fit better), I decided to remove the ironing board from our built-in unit and use a jigsaw to carefully "cut" an inch off the wide end, reducing the overall length to 41 inches. Our board is wood, and I'm very good with power tools, so I figured it would be an easy fix. After cutting the board to 41" and pulling and stretching it for a few minutes, we were able to install the cover. Now it lies it wrinkle free and close to the skin.(i.e. fits well!) board! If it is longer than 41" and you don't want to cut the board. then you can look for another cover. We hope this additional inform ations will help you determine if this case is right for your particular application. A NOTICE. This review is only for the silver silicone lining and case for storing household items. This company also makes these cases in different fabrics like Willow and Natural. they may or may not suffer from the same problem.
