Great purchase for travel!
I am a bridal stylist and this is great for traveling to different places. It protects any surface I place hot tools on. It also allows me to travel with my curlers still warm, so I don't have to wait for them to cool completely. The only "downside" is that I'm having trouble getting them to stay closed while they're drawing. But overall a great purchase!
