For the money it's ok.
This tablet is stitched on Android 4.4. As for Android, it's been a long time. If you're not familiar with Android, you can't get the Play Store on this device, which severely limits the ability to update. I had a 7 inch tablet from Amazon that was worse so I think it's better than it was. My kids 2 and 4 prefer their leapfrog and almost never pick it up.
