I treat cancer patients, some of them have chemotherapy hookups. These ports are usually located in the upper right side of the chest. Some of my patients have to lie on their stomachs during their radiation therapy and lying on these ports is quite painful. I bought these sponges to fold in half with a porthole cut in and eliminated a lot of discomfort for these patients when they didn't have to lie directly on their port. This contributes to the success of the treatment if they can remain still during the treatment.
