The lamp is a very good copy of the original, no it is not handmade in France, the brass knurled screws are not the same as the original and the wall plate is different , but otherwise looks it looks like a Serge Mouille wall lamp sold at DWR. I gave it 4 stars because it's very difficult to assemble, the instructions are useless and you have to flip it, but once you figure it out and figure out how to hook it up to a switch (non-intuitive) it works great. The package I received was well packed, everything is in excellent condition, I received two LED lamps and the lamp was connected as a portable lamp, ie. H. I bought a plug for the connection separately. It looks great and for the price I'm very satisfied and I'm sorry everyone else has had a bad experience but I recommend this lamp based on the item I received.
