Review on Jet 708733 Inner Filter 708620B by Angela Johnson

I have a JDS air filter and can't find specific filters for it so I ordered this one. Seems a lot cheaper than what I had and to be honest it probably didn't need to be replaced since I only have a hobby shop in my basement. I had the original and these little stripes on the back to indicate airflow. Began to see a drip on one side so I ordered. I had to spray silicone on the foam around the metal frame to get it to slide properly. Streamers certainly show more airflow, but the flimsy material on the filter leaves me confused. I couldn't find the specs for this filter but the Jets Air Cleaner listing says 1 micron. Hm. How frustrating to have a JDS product on the market this way for Jet and now it's impossible to get parts. Of course, this isn't the first time I've owned equipment that the brand has gone bankrupt. JDS was great stuff back then, so I can't figure it out. Because most of these things are cheap Chinese junk, and am I willing to trust that with my health? Just for someone else's payline?
