We bought this for our kitten because we thought she was going to grow up but she's still a little girl. We covered the velcro a bit and everything seems to be working fine. We got this because she got very upset when her dog sisters went outside and she didn't (too many cars, not fully vaccinated and not neutered yet). We still wear it because she doesn't like walking around in it (again she's too skinny - maybe she'll get fat one day) but she likes to feel involved and that's the main thing! Also, 99% of the time she doesn't really understand that it's not a toy. Like I said, she just wanted out and that made it safe for her!
