I've had Bose (qc35ii, 30, 20) and Sony (WH-1000XM3 MK2) and the Grado GR10e beat them for clarity. The overall sound quality is impressive across the range of tones from the following genres: I listen (classical, soul, vocal). The timbre of percussion, strings and vocals is simply great, which plays a major role in the purchase decision. The base headphones aren't as loud compared to the Sony and Bose headphones, but I prefer them because they can be overwhelming with these headphones. Midtones are definitely better than Bose and Sony. The material quality of the product is excellent. The cables seem to be stronger than most in-ear headphones I have (klipsch, bose). Although they are thinner. The audio jack has extra support in places where it can flex, which gives some reassurance as headphones typically ignore that part. In terms of comfort, I replaced the silicone inserts with another insulation product, but they seem typical. In general I am very satisfied. with them and will stick with Grado products.
