Review on John Frieda Salon Shape Brush by Lindsay Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for throwout style.

Hey guys! So how I found this article a week ago and really wanted it, mainly because I'm a terrible curler and was really hoping it could help me get some big, luscious curls. But mostly because it seemed so useless. So of course I bought it and I also posted a video review on my youtube channel BlindlyHonestly. (Shameless do-it-yourself plug) So here it is, John Frieda's 1.5-inch salon-style hot air brush. So straight out of the box this thing is really huge! Shattered my dreams of curls. You will definitely have more brows than curls, but I had to try. So the barrel itself is 1.5 inches and has good bristles. Switching on the brush is really not that loud! Like it's on top of me during the conversation and recording my video and I feel like you can hear me perfectly in it. The brush has three different settings: Low, High, and High, cool, but the air coming out isn't so hot that you can't hold it with your hand. The coolest feature and it took me a while to figure out that it can spin/rotate while you blow dry it thanks to a cord that attaches to the bottom and can pop out so you can easily clean the filter at the end! Very cool feature, I wish there were more products in this category. I just dyed/tinted my hair after trying to dye my hair blonde, yes... Unfortunately I didn't hit the right shade of blonde for once, but I plan on redying it in the next few weeks. Anyway I figured there was no better time than now to check it out as he's been sitting in my dressing room for a week now just looking at me like "why didn't you open me up?" after the shower I connected it and got started. I let my hair towel dry a bit so it wasn't wet but still damp, so I divided it into sections and started at the bottom of my hair and worked my way up. it was. The brush got a little tangled in my hair when I was doing a big section of hair, so I quickly learned to work with small section and move slowly if you wanted a bit of curl, although I ruined any chance of getting curls, because I kept moving my fingers in your hair because it was so soft. The bristles on this brush really do wonders for your hair and I can't remember the last time my hair felt so soft lol. Immediately I realized I was right about blowing out that brush after I finished that part. I didn't have any curls, although I did end up with a nice little curl that could be turned into a cute style. Moving on to the other sections, I turned the setting up and just finished the rest of the hair before trying to do any styling. When I was done with my head I went back with the brush and tried to get my hair to hold a curl in it and literally sat there and literally twisted it in sections over and over again and even when I wasn't with my fingers driving through I ended up with just a good look and slightly curly bangs that just looked good. However, I ended up liking this product because I feel like it's better for my hair than a regular curling iron, mainly because the air is blown out gently and most importantly because it doesn't heat up. Maybe it would frizz if it got hotter, but with the way it blows and heats up, it's perfect for getting lots of volume out of my normally flat and lifeless hair. It also made my hair so soft like I said before and it looked so shiny that even my husband noticed it when I went to bed. That's right, I did it at 12:30, so right after I dried my hair and finished recording, I washed off my makeup and went straight to bed. I have impeccable timing. Pros: Low heat, three separate settings (low, high, cool high), brush rotates easily as cord rotates. The bottom part slides out so you can easily clean the filter. Air is not blown out as much as with a conventional hair dryer. Can easily replace hair dryer and round brush. Helps give your hair great volume and hold. Cons: The barrel is too big to actually curl the hair without damaging it by holding it on the heat for too long. The part of the brush that separates the bristles from the handle has an edge that my hair has caught on several times, I'm not sure how to fix that. got a really nice and decent voluminous look and light curls, added some hairspray and it looked great! I love it very much and now I see myself using it regularly, also it's much smaller than a hair dryer and you don't have to take my hair dryer and round brush on a trip because this product combines both in one. ! CHECK OVER! I intend to continue experimenting and working with this so I can fully evaluate the product.
