Used them in my girls costumes this year. You did your job. We tested the burn time of each color and found that they all lasted at least 12 hours. However, some of them shine brighter than others. Green, yellow and orange are by far the brightest and will completely drown out any other color next to them. The initial glow is very, very strong, but after 15-20 minutes it decreases by about 1/3. The sticks used for the painting were illuminated for about 45 minutes, and by that time the super bright glow had already faded. They are also extremely sensitive to minor stimuli and will activate when you don't want them to if you're not careful. Ours broke when we put them back in the tube, placed them on the table and carefully assembled them using connectors. If you're not careful, you'll lose quite a bit. Given what I said above, anyone with realistic expectations will be more than happy with this purchase.
