I was so surprised that no one told me how this set was put together. The floss comes with a piece of thick paper with holes and a symbol over the hole as a guide to using the correct color of floss for the bee. Well, when you're at least halfway through with the project, the thread will be a chaotic mess. When a thread comes out of the holes, you can't know what character it is. To make sure you don't have trouble knotting or tangling the thread uselessly, you need to redo a poorly done design for the color chart. and put the symbol on thick paper. There will be around 35 of each in total, but I don't see a way to ensure a safe end product by leaving it as is. I've only just started and she's already starting to get confused and look like a mess. I have a long history of cross stitching and using all types of fabrics from medium to linen and usually use my own DMC floss. I've sometimes ordered sets but this one is superior to anything I've seen because the packaging is below average. Very disappointed and for that reason I would not recommend it to anyone. Especially considering the price. It's come down a lot since I started looking at it, but it's still a bit high for what you get. I hope that the finished product will make remembering inconveniences less important when it's finished. Update: The floss holes have a few symbols that don't apply to this particular bee drawing. But there was a hole that had a missing symbol on the map (bee pattern). I have to re-order the set to get the color as the set only includes the characters listed and no DMC number for reference. If they took the time to stamp the DMC number on the thread and symbol strip you could either buy or check your stock and see if you have the color. There's no way to know, even the shadow of the floss is missing. But there is quite a lot of this symbol in the pattern, so don't be too smart with your color choice. This set disappointed me.
