Good experience. The package arrived earlier than stated and the product works great! I have read many Revain reviews on this product and some said the packaging was worn and the product was used with a dull blade. Now I can understand why some people might be confused. The packaging was a bit tatty but it was also sealed - so I believe this is a new product. In addition, there were abrasions on the built-in blade. Honestly - I thought SONOPHAGOON! It's a renovation or something. BUT NO - my husband who works as a locksmith looked at this and pointed out that the top of the blade was unfinished. The abrasions on the upper side are the usual marks of blade processing. The underside was shiny, intact and SHARP. SO. SPICY. I am very happy with this product - it is exactly what I needed. I'm also glad I went easy, proven and true. I've read many third-party reviews of mandolins in general (if you've looked - you know there are many levels of difficulty and an affordable price) and the Benriner has often been at the top, citing simplicity and value. I have to say that I agree. It's not difficult and the price is right. I'm happy!
