Review on AVR USBASP 2.0 programmer with 10pin to 6pin adapter by Jnis Avoti ᠌

Absolutely useless, bad purchase, sorry to anyone who bought it.

With old firmware, you will not be able to work with AVR ATtiny, and with AVR ATmega, a frequency setting error will pop up. Basically, on the Internet, they use another USBasp for flashing USBasp (there should be a mat here). If you don’t have it (and why do you need two identical programmers at all), but have an Arduino at hand, then use it as an in-system programmer. Find a description of the method that uses the command line. It was this method that gave the result, and all the others were not successful. the cost of this USBasp is $ 2, I paid five times more not to waste my time on finishing the programmer

Pros
  • Soldering quality is decent. I didn’t have to solder anything myself (I was lucky)
Cons
  • 1. Packing: USBasp was in an antistatic sealed bag, and the adapter was simply taped to this bag; 2. The adapter was in some kind of mayonnaise (the photo is partially visible) and flux, I had to wash it myself with alcohol and a brush; 3. USBasp was not washed from the flux, I had to wash it myself with alcohol and a brush; 4. The USBasp had outdated firmware, so it took several hours to find a working way to change the firmware on the programmer.
