; He died suddenly 6 months later. There were some sparks behind the buttons and it went out immediately. I'm so sad. Good oven so far. This is not your typical toaster. It's more like a fancy full-size oven shrunk in size. Don't expect it to think like a microwave for you. You actually have to think like a chef to use it well. I tried a Costco frozen pizza and had to decrease the time and increase the temperature a bit. It's almost like a pizza from a pizzeria. Shocking. For the toasts, we had to drastically reduce the screen time to 1-2 digits. If more than 4, the bread is cremated. (I'm talking about the toast symbols marked 1-7.) Please please I hope this oven lasts. I think the main issues with this burn-in are related to issues with the lack of surge protection in the outlet (not in the oven) or the lack of splash guards around large foods with a lot of fat. The front glass is a single safety glass, not double insulated like full size ovens. Oh yes, the oven goes into standby mode for 30 seconds after you use it. If you don't touch it after that, it will turn off completely by itself. A bit annoying, but that's the way it is these days. I almost forgot that the LCD screen sometimes fogs up a little, but just wipe it gently with a napkin and it all goes away. I think the steam from the food is coming out the door.
