I love that it's so cheap! The metal is very durable. I also liked how easy it was to set up. What surprises me the most is when other people complain that some bars are missing. Well if you can read or inspect the bars you will see that you have to screw in some bars. Just read the INSTRUCTIONS. Believe me. This frame is fantastic. I personally have a box spring bed and then my mattress. You don't need a pen box, but I prefer one. The strength of this bed frame is fantastic. I had 4 cousins that weighed over 120lbs each and then a dog that weighed 175lbs. This bed is very strong. The space under the bed is amazing. I recommend this bed to everyone.
