The wording should be changed to prevention. It's not safe. These locks are designed to "prevent" unauthorized access for between 30 seconds and 1 minute during which airport or TSA personnel carry your baggage to or from the aircraft baggage claim area. It is save? no Does this prevent interference? Yes, about 10-30 seconds. With a flexible plastic toothpick I was able to pick it up in 10 seconds. Rated 3 stars for preventing unauthorized access on my last flight. :-)
