So I was about to get married and the host at my wedding said they needed some gentle amplification nothing serious with a speaker or anything just something will help get their voice in little to project. This speaker is just what you need - it doesn't require a cable or an outlet. You can just go outside with it and it will amplify your voice. Properly held, I would say about twice the volume of the human voice, which is completely sufficient for my needs. I know it has all those karaoke features, but to be honest I just needed a reliable, battery powered mic that looks and feels good, which has been great for me.
