I have 2 lighted Christmas trees that I use near my house for Christmas. They are placed on each side of my front door where there is a ledge so they are not exposed to rain/snow. I had them 8/10 years old and they looked old and some of the bulbs had burned out so I did a little research on Pinterest about flocking trees and then found this product on Amazon. I removed the old lanterns, shook up all the branches and took the trees down to the basement on top of the newspapers that I spread out. With my husband's help, it didn't take me long to get the job done. We had 2 spray bottles of water and wet the branches, then I put a strainer on a paper plate, filled it 1/2 full with flock and sift the product top to bottom and my husband left. after spraying with water (which is key to curing the product). I wanted some of the branches to have heavy snow cover, so I shook them hard. I would take a step back and review my work and add as needed. I let the trees dry for just over 24 hours and then added light. Yes there was some chipping and it was dusty so not sure if this would be a great idea for wood that will be around the house or wood that will be touched a lot when putting on jewelry but for my purpose it was so awesome! These trees look gorgeous and brand new! I bought a two pound bag and only used 1/2. The height of the trees in the grandstands is about 4.5 feet.
