Review on 🚫 100% Light Blocking Total Blackout Window Film - Room Darkening, Non-Adhesive Privacy Film for Home Security, Day Sleep - Easy Removal, UV Prevention Treatment (17.5 x 80 inches) by Christine Noland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to use - much gentler than others.

Very easy to apply - much gentler than other films. It's thicker and softer than traditional window tints, but it really does darken the room. There's a bit of transparency - you'll be able to see that there's light on the outside, but it's the only film I've ever found that qualifies as a blackout (with the exception of aluminum foil if you want a "meth lab") . esthetic). Highly recommended. Installation Tip: Don't try to be cute and trim it in advance. Cut it at least 2 inches in each direction. Wet it and the window and smash it in there. Make sure both sides are damp before you start smoothing. Use a razor blade or exacto knife and a metal ruler down the center and to the edges. Press the ruler against the foil and press on the outside edge, moving the knife along the entire length. Blister remnants on the edges Press less than the center to prevent the film from stretching further and warping your perfectly cut edges. :)

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • No mold required
