This KPAN 3.1 external drive is a good, inexpensive solution for multimedia devices. The construction is well made and it works as advertised. Unfortunately USB 3.1 speed due to the fact that it is a 5400rpm hard drive is never used due to the hard drive used in this portable drive. While this is not a disadvantage, buyers should be aware that data transfer speeds are limited by this hard drive. Advantages: Low price. Long-term reliability compared to SSD. Cons: 5400 RPM can't take advantage of USB 3.1 speed. the record is actually not a fraud, but an unknown. Overall I am satisfied with this external hard drive.
