Review on 🐶 LupinePet Eco Lilac Dog Collar - 3/4 Inch Width, Ideal for Small to Large Dogs by Jamie Northcutt

This is a well made harness as I have come to expect from Lupin. The straps are strong but flexible and not stiff and I expect the dog will wear them comfortably. BUT I can only give this one 2 stars as it severely cut the fur on my dog's coat! My dog is a Japanese Spitz (similar to an American Eskimo Dog) and for the past few months I've been wondering why she has that weird unkempt mane... and now I know. She came back from a two week stay at the kennel last week and I was amazed at how beautiful her coat looked. She looked a lot more like a Japanese Spitz. Took her home, gave her a good brush and still looked great. But later in the week I would walk her for 45-60 minutes several days in a row. And the next day her fur looked weird and tattered again... now in the light I see that the fur is shorter as if it was trimmed right where the straps are. It looks like she's still wearing the harness, although she hasn't worn it in 2 days and I cleaned it again. This is the worst thing I've ever seen! She walks well on a slack lead and doesn't pull, and the harness was adjusted just right - not what I would call tight as I could easily slip 4 fingers under her, but not too loose, she could wriggle out. So I think this would be a great harness for a short haired dog but be careful if you have a dog with a thin mane as it can damage it. I only recently bought this, so I'm guessing another harness style move I've bought from Lupine over the past few months also made the coat look like this.
