Big Needle: Turntables and Accessories

I sent a question to the seller but didn't get a reply. My question was related to the accuracy of the instrument. The device says a resolution of 0.005, which is true, but it's a mistake to confuse resolution and accuracy. Let me just say this is a wonderful device and I recommend it. Since I'm a metrologist, I decided to take the scale to the lab and do some measurements. Data was recorded at 68 degrees Fahrenheit in a lab with no appreciable air currents. Since I'm interested in weights between 0.75 and 1 gram, I only calibrated the 5 gram range. I used laboratory measurements traceable to NIST. My results were, the accuracy is 1% of the scale with no hand. With the manipulator I was able to repeat the accuracy of 3% of the scale. This is excellent for a device of this class and this price. The calibration weights that come with the device are good too at 5 grams, and the 20g weight is 0.005g off, not enough to worry about. For those wondering, I hope this helps.
